Which hair types is this set for?
Put this set together for straight and wavy hair. The same dryer also takes attachments for curly and coily hair, like a diffuser and a wide-tooth comb, but those are not in this box.
How do I turn on Scalp Shield?
Press and hold the temperature button for 2 seconds. The IQ light and the low-heat light on the back turn blue when it is on. It works on the bare dryer and with any attachment, and the manufacturer recommends it for drying at the roots.
Why do the heat and airflow change when I click on an attachment?
The dryer recognizes each attachment and automatically sets the heat and airflow the manufacturer recommends for it. You can override both at any time with the Air and Temperature buttons on the back.
How hot does it get?
It measures and regulates its temperature 1,000 times a second and does not go above 230°F. There are three heat settings plus a cool mode: cycle through the heat settings until all the red lights turn off.
Does it have a cool shot?
Yes. Hold the Cool Shot button, the one with the blue dot in the middle of the handle, to turn the heater off and blow room-temperature air that helps set your style. The air cools down in about 10 seconds and returns to your setting when you let go.
Can I use it outside North America?
The manufacturer designed it for North American homes: it runs on 120V and draws 1,750 W, and the manufacturer does not recommend using it in other countries. A plug adapter changes the plug shape, not the voltage.
