FAQ
Can I use it on wet hair?
Yes, in Wet Mode. The plates run at a lower maximum of 248°F because wet hair is more vulnerable to heat, while the airflow dries as you straighten. Use Dry Mode only on hair that is 100% dry.
What temperatures does it reach?
Wet Mode: 212°F, 230°F and 248°F. Dry Mode: 320°F, 374°F and 428°F. You pick the heat and the airflow in each mode, and it remembers your last settings in both.
Which comb should I use?
Wide-Tooth to prep, stretch and rough-dry in Wet Mode; Gentle for softer tension and smooth styles with natural movement; Precision for more tension and sleek, straight results. It works without a comb, but the manufacturer recommends one for tension and control.
Which settings suit my hair type?
The manufacturer suggests medium heat for straight and wavy hair and high heat for curly and coily hair, with high flow in Wet Mode and low flow in Dry Mode. On fine hair, use lower heat, smaller sections and fewer passes.
Does it turn itself off?
It lowers the airflow when you set it down, to reduce noise, and brings it back when you pick it up. If it is left on without use, it shuts off automatically.
Can I use it like a regular flat iron?
Yes. The manufacturer notes that it works as a standalone flat iron on dry hair, using Dry Mode.
